What It Means to Be A Leave a Legacy® Non-Profit Member

As a non-profit member of Leave a Legacy®, you have joined in a cooperative effort to educate your community on planned giving. So often, it is not fiscally possible for a non-profit to devote resources to launch a public relations program to educate its donors on planned giving. By joining Leave a Legacy®, non-profit members pool their resources to launch a local awareness campaign.

The campaign focuses on the average individual and how that individual can have a huge impact, and Leave a Legacy®, by making a bequest or planned gift. The program does not focus on individual organizations, but on the overall importance of making a planned gift.

Non-profit members pay a membership fee. These fees are combined with sponsorships of local corporations to pay for a comprehensive print, radio and television campaign.

Members are able to use marketing materials created by the national Leave a Legacy® program for use in their organization. These materials include advertisements, posters and a brochure. Non-profit members can then incorporate Leave a Legacy® materials in their organization’s planned giving program. For smaller organizations who do not have a planned giving program in place, Leave a Legacy® can serve as a stand alone program. For larger organizations, it can enhance an existing program.

To become a member, simply complete the membership application and send it with your payment to Leave a Legacy®. You will be informed of all upcoming meetings and events.
